Senior User Experience (UX) Designer

About the role


We are seeking a highly talented Sr. User Experience (UX) Designer.

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering great user experiences across our suite of products.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a visionary aptitude for creating, documenting, and implementing consistent design patterns using best practices and user research. 

At the core, the UX role is responsible to work hand-in-hand with the Product Owner to understand our product, associated requirements, and goals and to convert them into visually appealing, engaging, highly usable, and user-centric web and mobile interfaces for our platforms.

Understanding user research, personas, and wireframing are also expectations of this role. This person will work closely with key stakeholders including both product and development teams.


About our design team

As a member of our Design team, you’ll join a diverse, multidisciplinary team of designers who are dedicated to growing our D2C and B2B platforms. Our goal is to provide an ultra-personalized nutrition system that analyzes customers’ blood, DNA, and lifestyle to help them optimize their bodies and reach their goals. Our design practice is collaborative, data-driven, and fast-paced.

We’re looking for a T-shaped designer that can help us take our experience to the next level, bringing deep expertise in both UX and UI. You should be versed in research methodology and current with design trends.


Design Responsibilities

Craft intuitive and compelling product experiences, leveraging Company's design standards and industry best practices.

Produce design deliverables such as:

  • Detailed site maps, user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies, etc.
  • Wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that represent interaction recommendations
  • Low/medium/high fidelity detailed visuals/mockups


General Responsibilities

  • Deep expertise in user experience design, product management, engineering, and agile development environments and the ability to turn complex use cases into intuitive and compelling product experiences
  • Oversee, plan, and scope projects for yourself.
  • Develop and own a design process that enables efficiency/speed and ensures a positive and ever-improving user experience and team culture.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills. Be a thought leader who can take a step back on overarching goals and opportunities, while also acting as a product practitioner who can meticulously work alongside his/her team.
  • The ability to engage in strategy discussions. Weigh tradeoffs between business, technical, and customer contexts.


Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX or Product Design experience for consumers and consumer brands
  • Communication and presentation skills. The ability to clearly present work, and articulate the rationale for the decisions that led to it
  • Facilitation and listening skills. An openness to opinions that challenge beliefs, and be a willingness to evolve based on new information.
  • The confidence and self-motivation to drive forward projects that will improve our user’s experience
  • Expert proficiency in Sketch, Invision, Avocode, and other design tools.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and a deep understanding of designing responsive and/or native app experiences.
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates an unfailing advocacy for the user, highlighting: data-driven design, mobile design work, and strategic thinking.

It created the leading personalized nutrition platform that generates ultra-customized recommendations to optimize an individual’s health by tracking and analyzing blood and genetic biomarkers using a patented algorithm.

Our expert system matches the most relevant, science-based recommendations to each individual based on blood data, DNA data, and demographics, as well as self-reported preferences and goals.
